Tour Plan
Day 1 : Pick-Up in Kampala – Transfer to Kibale Forest via Fort Portal
Your safari begins with a morning pick-up from your hotel in Kampala by our expert guide. Enjoy a scenic drive through Uganda’s countryside, with a stop in Fort Portal for lunch and Rwenzori Mountain views. Continue to Kibale Forest and visit the nearby Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary a community-run eco-tourism site rich in birds, primates, and lush vegetation. Later, check in at your lodge to relax. Dinner and overnight stay near Kibale.
Day 2 : Chimpanzee Trekking in Kibale Forest and transfer to Bwindi
After an early breakfast, head into Kibale Forest for an unforgettable chimpanzee trekking experience. Hike through dense rainforest as you track playful chimps and spot other primates and exotic birds. After the trek, begin your scenic drive south toward Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, passing rolling hills and local villages. Arrive at your lodge in the evening, nestled on the edge of the forest. Dinner and overnight stay near Bwindi.
Day 3 : Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Head to the park headquarters after an early breakfast for a briefing on gorilla trekking etiquette and safety. Then, set off into the misty rainforest to track one of Bwindi’s habituated gorilla families. Spend an awe-inspiring hour observing these majestic creatures in their natural habitat. Return to the lodge and unwind, or choose an optional cultural visit to the Batwa community for insight into their forest-dwelling heritage. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Day 4 : Transfer to Entebbe
After breakfast, begin your scenic journey back to Entebbe. Enjoy Uganda’s beautiful landscapes as you travel through rolling hills, vibrant towns, and picturesque countryside. Arrive in Entebbe in the afternoon, where you can relax or prepare for your onward journey. Your guide will assist with drop-off at the airport or your hotel, marking the end of an unforgettable Gorilla & Chimpanzee trekking safari.
