Day 1 : Transfer from Kampala to Murchison Falls National Park via Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary

Transfer from Kampala early in the morning and embark on a scenic journey northwest toward Murchison Falls National Park. En route, visit the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for an exciting on-foot rhino tracking experience the only place in Uganda where you can see wild rhinos up close. After the sanctuary, continue through picturesque rural landscapes, passing small villages and rolling hills. Arrive at Murchison Falls National Park by late afternoon and head to the Top of the Falls viewpoint, where the Nile River forces its way through a narrow gorge, creating a spectacular and powerful waterfall. Enjoy the breathtaking views before settling into your lodge for the evening.

Day 2 : Morning Game Drive and Afternoon Boat Cruise to the Bottom of the Falls

A day in the wild begins with an early morning game drive across the savannah, where the golden light of dawn reveals a vibrant array of wildlife, from grazing antelopes and towering giraffes to prides of lions and elusive leopards stalking the grasslands. With the help of an experienced guide, travelers explore the park’s diverse ecosystems, capturing unforgettable sightings in the cool morning air. In the afternoon, the adventure shifts to the Nile River for a scenic boat cruise upstream to the base of the magnificent Murchison Falls. Along the way, pods of hippos wallow in the water, crocodiles sunbathe on the banks, and elephants and buffaloes gather to drink. The journey culminates at the thunderous falls, where the Nile crashes through a narrow gorge, creating a dramatic and awe-inspiring finale.

Day 3 : Transfer from Murchison Falls National Park to Kibale Forest National Park

This day is for transferring to Kibale National Park, but this is after a lovely breakfast at the Lodge. You'll embark on a 7-8 hour drive to the lush jungles of Kibale Forest, popularly known as the Primate Capital of the World, with over 13 different species of primates. Besides chimpanzees, other primates likely to be encountered in this park are olive baboons, black and white colobus monkeys, grey-cheeked mangabeys, blue monkeys, red-tailed monkeys, vervet monkeys, bushbabies, Pottos, L’Hoests monkeys, and Patas monkeys, among others, in addition to over 350 species of birds.

While being rewarded with views of the Lake Albert flats and escarpments, snow-capped peaks of Rwenzori Mountains and the countryside be ushered to Fort Portal Town for Lunch. You'll drive straight to the lodge outside or within Kibale Forest National Park for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 4 : Full-day Chimpanzee Habituation Experience in Kibale Forest National Park

The Full-Day Chimpanzee Habituation Experience in Kibale Forest National Park offers a rare and immersive opportunity to spend an entire day in the company of a chimpanzee troop as they undergo the habituation process. Starting at dawn, visitors join researchers and guides deep in the forest to locate the chimps as they leave their nests. Throughout the day, participants observe their behavior feeding, grooming, playing, and communicating gaining deep insight into their complex social structures. Unlike a standard trek, this experience allows extended, up-close encounters, contributing to conservation efforts while providing an unforgettable connection with our closest wild relatives in one of Uganda’s most biodiverse rainforests.

Day 5 : Transfer Back to Entebbe

After an enriching stay in Kibale Forest National Park, the journey back to Entebbe begins, typically taking 5 to 6 hours by road. The scenic drive passes through rolling hills, tea plantations, and vibrant local towns, offering a final glimpse of Uganda’s natural beauty. Upon arrival in Entebbe, travelers can relax at their hotel or prepare for an evening flight, marking the end of an unforgettable adventure.
