4-Day Primate Safari Uganda -Rwanda

Day 1: Arrival and Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will be warmly greeted by a representative from Gorilla Specialist. Following a brief introduction, embark on a guided city tour of Kigali, exploring notable landmarks such as the Genocide Memorial Center and vibrant local markets. After enjoying lunch in Kigali, proceed to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Upon arrival at your lodge, take time to relax and prepare for the exciting journey ahead.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking and Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi
Start your day with an early breakfast at the lodge before heading to the park headquarters for a pre-trek briefing. Accompanied by expert guides, venture into the dense Bwindi forest to track mountain gorillas in their natural habitat. Once the gorillas are located, enjoy an extraordinary hour observing and interacting with them. After the trek, return to your lodge for lunch before transferring to Lake Bunyonyi, renowned as Africa’s second deepest lake. Here, unwind and take in the stunning views of the lake’s islands from your lodge.

Day 3: Transfer to Kibale National Park
Following breakfast, check out and embark on a full-day journey to Kibale National Park. Along the way, pause for lunch and admire the picturesque landscapes. Kibale is celebrated for its rich variety of primates, including chimpanzees, Colobus monkeys, mangabeys, and red-tailed monkeys. Upon arrival, settle into your lodge and later enjoy a guided nature walk through the Bigodi Wetlands. Conclude the day with dinner and an overnight stay at the lodge.

Day 4: Chimpanzee Trekking and Transfer to Entebbe/Kigali
Begin your day with a briefing at the park headquarters before embarking on an exciting chimpanzee trekking adventure at 8:00 am. Kibale National Park boasts the highest concentration of primate species globally, offering a unique chance to observe chimpanzees in their natural environment. Spend an hour with the chimpanzees before returning to your lodge for lunch. Later, commence your journey back to Entebbe or Kigali, bringing your remarkable safari experience to a close.
