3-Day Rwanda Gorilla & Golden Monkey Trekking

Day 1: Arrival at Kigali International Airport and Transfer to Musanze
Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, our guide will meet you and transfer you to Musanze, the gateway to the majestic mountain gorillas. During the drive, you will have the opportunity to admire Rwanda’s stunning landscapes. After checking in at your lodge, you can relax and enjoy the amenities. Alternatively, you may opt for an optional community visit or explore the scenic twin lakes, Burera and Ruhondo.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking Adventure
Start your day with an early breakfast before heading to the Volcanoes National Park headquarters in Kinigi. Here, you will meet your guides and complete the necessary park formalities before embarking on the unforgettable experience of tracking mountain gorillas. Once located, you will have the extraordinary opportunity to spend one hour observing these incredible primates in their natural habitat.

After the trek, return to your lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, immerse yourself in Rwandan culture with a visit to the Gorilla Guardians (formerly Ibyiwacu Cultural Village). End the day with dinner and an overnight stay at your lodge.

Day 3: Golden Monkey Trekking and Transfer to Kigali
Following breakfast, return to the park headquarters for a guided golden monkey trekking experience. After this unique encounter, you will be transferred back to Kigali for your outbound flight. En route, enjoy a complimentary city tour, including visits to the local market, craft market, and the Gisozi Genocide Memorial site.
