Day 1 - Arrival, Visit Kigali Genocide Memorial And Transfer to Volcanoes National Park

Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your guide. Begin your journey with a visit to the Kigali Genocide Memorial, a moving tribute to the victims of the 1994 genocide and an important site for reflection and understanding Rwanda’s history. After the visit, depart for a scenic drive to the Volcanoes National Park region. En route, stop at the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund Museum to learn about the legendary primatologist’s conservation efforts and the ongoing work to protect mountain gorillas. Later in the day, continue to your lodge nestled at the foothills of the Virunga Mountains. Check in, relax, and enjoy dinner as you prepare for the adventures ahead. Overnight at the lodge.

Day 2 - Golden Monkey Tracking and Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Golden Monkeys & Gorillas: A Day of Primate Magic in Rwanda & Uganda!
Awake to misty vistas of the Virunga Volcanoes! After an early breakfast, embark on a scenic drive to Kinigi Headquarters—meet passionate rangers for a briefing on golden monkey behavior and Rwanda’s conservation triumphs.
By 8 AM, trek into Volcanoes National Park’s bamboo forests, where emerald canopies and rolling hills set the stage. Watch playful golden monkeys leap through bamboo, nibbling tender shoots—or sneak into potato fields for a cheeky snack! Their acrobatics and golden-orange fur dazzle as you spend 60 magical minutes photographing their antics.
Return to your lodge for a hearty lunch, then journey to the Rwandan-Ugandan border. Cross into Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, where primordial jungles and mountain gorillas await.
Tomorrow, trek gorillas—but tonight, let the raw beauty of Africa’s highlands cradle you.

Day 3 - Gorilla Trekking and Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

A Day of Gorilla Magic & Lakeside Serenity in Uganda’s Wild Heart

Awake early for a life-changing adventure! After breakfast, head to Bwindi’s headquarters for a gorilla trekking briefing—learn how to respectfully interact with these majestic creatures. Embark on your trek through misty, emerald forests, where every rustle and call heightens the thrill. The search (2–8 hours) is a wild treasure hunt—packed lunch in tow—culminating in 60 awe-inspiring minutes with mountain gorillas. Watch silverbacks rule, juveniles play, and mothers cradle infants—nature’s raw beauty unfolds before you.
Afterward, journey to Lake Bunyonyi, the “Switzerland of Africa.” Wind through lush hills and terraced farms, arriving at this breathtaking, bilharzia-free lake (Africa’s 2nd deepest!). Swim freely in crystal waters or unwind on your lodge’s balcony as the sun sets over volcanic peaks.

Day 4- Lake Bunyonyi Boat Canoe Excursion And Transfer To Kigali

Begin your day with a peaceful boat and canoe ride on beautiful Lake Bunyonyi, taking in the stunning scenery and birdlife. After the excursion, transfer to Kigali International Airport for your departure, marking the end of your memorable trip. Safe travels!
